Supreme Court Court Master Recruitment 2025: Educational Qualification & Eligibility
- Age Limit: 30 – 45 years (as on 01.07.2025).
- Age relaxation as per Govt. of India rules.
- No upper age limit for departmental candidates of the Supreme Court.
- Essential Qualifications:
- Degree from a recognized University.
- Proficiency in English Shorthand (120 w.p.m).

👉 Candidates with a Law Degree (LLB/BGL) will get 3 extra marks.
Final Merit List will be based on aggregate marks in all stages.
Job Profile & Promotion
A Court Master in the Supreme Court is responsible for:
- Recording court proceedings (stenography & transcription).
- Preparing cause lists, orders, and records.
- Assisting Hon’ble Judges in daily judicial functions.
Promotion: Court Masters can be promoted to Senior Court Master, and later to Assistant Registrar and higher administrative posts in the Registry.
