Local Language Requirement
For Officer Scale I and Office Assistants, proficiency in the prescribed local language is an essential qualification.
Candidates who have studied the relevant state language in Standard VIII or above in a recognized school/board are considered proficient. Candidates who do not meet the requirement at selection may be given up to six months from joining to acquire proficiency, subject to the notification’s conditions.

Interview Weightage
The interview carries 100 marks. The minimum qualifying marks are 40% for general candidates and 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates. The weightage of Online Examination and Interview is 80:20 for Officers.
Negative Marking
There is a penalty of one-fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to the question for every wrong answer in Objective Tests. No penalty is imposed for unanswered questions.
