Canara Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must satisfy the eligibility conditions prescribed in the official notification. The age and educational qualification requirements will be calculated as on September 1, 2026.
1. Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have a Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
- Candidates must have completed graduation between January 1, 2023, and September 1, 2026, both dates inclusive.
- Candidates who have completed one or more years of job experience after graduation are not eligible.
- Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training are not eligible.
2. Age Limit
The minimum age is 20 years and the maximum age is 28 years as on September 1, 2026.
Candidates must have been born between September 2, 1998, and September 1, 2006, both dates inclusive.

4. Local Language Requirement
Candidates must be proficient in the local language of the State selected for training.
Candidates who have studied the specified local language in Class 10 or Class 12 and can produce the relevant marksheet or certificate will not need to undergo the language test.
Other candidates must qualify in the local language test conducted during document verification. Candidates who fail the test will not be engaged as apprentices.

1. Merit List
A State-wise merit list will be prepared in descending order based on the percentage of marks obtained in Class 12 (HSC/10+2) or Diploma.
