For Integrated/Dual Degree Courses:
- MEQ will be 10+2

Who is NOT Eligible For Prime Minister Scholarship – Exclusions
- Wards of Civilians including Para Military Personnel are NOT eligible
- Students studying in 2nd year or subsequent years are not eligible
- Students studying abroad are not eligible
- Distance learning/vocational courses are not permitted
- Lateral entry admissions are not eligible
- Scholarship is for one course only – cannot avail twice
How to Apply for Prime Minister Scholarship 2026 (Step-by-Step Guide)
- Visit ksb.gov.in → Download Annexures 1, 2 and 3 from the PMSS link
- Complete all three Annexures fully (use official format only – no custom formats)
- Click “Apply Online” under PMSS → Upload passport size photo
- Fill Part-1 and Part-2 with ESM details → Click Submit to register
- Check your email for Login ID, Password, and Activation Link → Click the activation link
- Login to dashboard → Click “New Application” → Select Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme
- Fill Part-1, Part-2 & Part-3 → Upload all scanned documents clearly at the correct fields
- Click “Save and Forward” to submit (Application not saved & forwarded = NOT submitted)

Renewal Instructions (2nd Year Onwards)

Important Instructions – PM’S Scholarship
- Email and mobile number in application must be the student’s own – keep them active till course completion
- If ZSB/RSB/KSB raises an observation, rectify it within 10 days – else application is auto-rejected
- After receiving scholarship, student must update Column 14 (date and amount received) in the renewal application – this is mandatory for continuing the scholarship
- Application status showing “New” on dashboard = application NOT yet submitted – click “Save and Forward”
- The total scholarship + any other financial aid received cannot exceed the PMSS scholarship amount
- Check KSB account/email regularly for updates – do not raise queries during January–May (merit list processing period)

An advertisement is published in all the leading news papers across country in the month of Aug every year. Wide publicity is also ensured through RSBs/ZSBs. Student should apply online by visiting KSB website ksb.gov.in latest by 30 Nov.
How will the students know about their selection in PMSS Merit List?
On finalization of merit list, the same is uploaded on KSB website ksb.gov.in and the same is also forwarded to all Rajya Sainik Boards (RSBs). Student can also monitor the progress of his/ her application on KSB website ksb.gov.in in their database.
If a student does not claim his/her scholarship amount, then what would be the case?
If a student does not claim his/ her scholarship by sending Payment-cum-Renewal Form on declaration of result of each academic year, then his/ her case would be closed for ever
