Kochi Naval Base Recruitment 2026: The Naval Ship Repair Yard (NSRY), Kochi and Naval Aircraft Yard (NAY), Kochi have officially released the Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Notification under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961. A total of 240 vacancies are available across 21 designated trades including Electrician, Fitter, Welder, COPA, Electronics Mechanic, and more. Candidates who have passed Matric/10th with minimum 50% marks and hold an ITI (NCVT) certificate with 65% aggregate in the relevant trade are eligible to apply. There is no upper age limit for this recruitment. Applications must be sent by India Post only and must reach the office before 03 April 2026.

The monthly stipend for Kochi Naval Base Apprentice 2026 is fixed by the Government of India under the Apprentices Act, 1961.

Kochi Naval Base Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Matric / SSC / 10th Standard	Minimum 50% aggregate
ITI (NCVT) – Relevant Trade	Minimum 65% aggregate (Theory + Practical)

✅ Provisional National Trade Certificate (PNTC) from ITI is also acceptable.

❌ Not Eligible:

• Candidates without ITI certificate in the relevant trade
• Candidates without 10th pass certificate

Kochi Naval Base Recruitment 2026 – Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years as on 01 June 2026
• Maximum Age: No upper age limit (as per MSDE OM No. F.No.MSDE-14(03)/2021 AP-PMU)

👉 This is one of the very few government recruitments in 2026 with no upper age limit — open to all ITI-qualified adults.

Selection Process – NSRY Kochi Apprentice 2026

• Shortlisting based on aggregate % of SSC + ITI marks
• Shortlisted candidates called for Interview (date in Call-up Letter)
• Medical Examination alongside interview
• Final selection based on merit

⚠️ Note: As per the Apprentices Act 1961, it is not obligatory for NSRY Kochi to employ apprentices after completion of training.
