Age Limit (as on 10.08.2025): 18-27 years
- Upper age limit relaxation:
- SC/ST: Relaxable by 5 years.
- OBC: Relaxable by 3 years.
- Departmental Candidates: Up to 40 years of age (with 3 years of regular and continuous service).
- UR Widows/Divorced/Judicially Separated Women (Not Remarried): Up to 35 years.
- OBC Widows/Divorced/Judicially Separated Women (Not Remarried): Up to 38 years.
- SC/ST Widows/Divorced/Judicially Separated Women (Not Remarried): Up to 40 years.
- Ex-Servicemen: As per Central Government instructions.
- Meritorious Sportspersons: Relaxation up to 5 years as per DoP&AR O.M. No. 14015/1/76-Estt.(D), dated 4.8.1980.

IB Recruitment 2025: Application Fee
The fee has two components:
- Examination Fee: Rs. 100/-
- Recruitment Processing Charges: Rs. 550/-

- Ex-servicemen already employed in civil services under Central Govt in Group ‘C’ posts (after availing benefits of reservation) must pay Examination Fee (Rs. 100/-) along with Recruitment Processing Charges (Rs. 550/-).
- Note 3:

- Pay Scale: Rs. 44,900 – 1,42,400 (as per pay matrix)
- Allowances: Admissible Central Government allowances applicable.
Additional Benefits:
- Special Security Allowance:
- 20% of basic pay in addition to other Government allowances.
- Cash Compensation:
- In lieu of duty performed on holidays, subject to a maximum limit of 30 days.
