1. Tradesman

- 2 years of experience in Engineering / Automobile / Ship Repair organization
Desirable:
- Experience in FRP Lamination & repair work (Fiber Class Reinforce Plastic)
- First Aid / Fire Fighting / Industrial Safety Course
2. Seaman
Essential:
- X Class Pass or equivalent
- 3 years of experience in a sea-going mechanized vessel
- 2 years of experience in helmsman and seamanship work
Desirable:
- Certificate of competency as “Mate of Fishing Vessel” — issued by Marine Mercantile Department
3. Greaser
Essential:
- X Class Pass or equivalent
- 3 years of experience in sea-going mechanized vessel on main and auxiliary machinery maintenance
Desirable:
- Certificate of competency as “Engine Driver of Fishing Vessel” — issued by Marine Mercantile Department
Selection Process – Indian Customs Recruitment 2026
Selection will be done in three stages:
- Written Examination – Candidates meeting eligibility will be called for a written test
- Physical Endurance Test (PET) – Swimming – Mandatory qualifying round
- Medical Fitness Test – Final health assessment before appointment
