Swimming Proficiency (Mandatory)
Candidates must possess proficiency in swimming. The following practical swimming tests will be conducted by the Commission:

Candidates must qualify in at least 5 out of the following 8 events:

Kerala Fire and Rescue Recruitment 2026: Preferential Qualifications
- Home Guard Volunteers with minimum 3 years service and Fire Fighting training
- NCC ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ Certificate holders (2%, 3%, 5% weightage respectively)
- Meritorious Sports Persons (as per General Conditions)
- Students Police Cadet (SPC) Certificate holders (as per GO dated 01.03.2025)
Kerala Fire and Rescue Recruitment 2026: Training Details

Written and practical tests will be conducted at the end of training. Up to three chances are permitted to pass the course as per notification.
Kerala Fire and Rescue Recruitment 2026: Probation Period
Every candidate appointed will be on probation for two years on duty within a continuous period of three years after successful completion of training.
